Over 32 years of experience practicing law. Currently at Owen Bird Law Corporation, leading Barristers and Solicitors in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, specializing in real estate, land use, construction financing, resort and municipal law. A member of the Board of Directors of several prominent North American corporations, including Canadian bank Peoples Trust Company, where he is also a member of the Audit, Investment and Executive Committees.

Among his many hospitality/resort industry clients are timeshare industry and vacation club pioneer Shell Vacations LLC and NYSE- and Toronto Exchange-listed Intrawest Corporation, the developer and owner/operator of renowned village-centered mountain, beach and golf resorts, premier vacation fractional membership Club Intrawest and luxury adventure travel company Abercrombie & Kent. Intrawest's world class resorts include mountain resorts Whistler/Blackcomb and Panorama in British Columbia, Tremblant in Quebec, Blue Mountain in Ontario, Chamonix in France, Aspen/Snowmass, Copper Mountain and Winter Park in Colorado, Squaw Valley at Lake Tahoe, Solitude in Utah, Stratton in New Hampshire, Snowshoe in West Virginia and Mountain Creek in New Jersey; and warm weather resorts Sandestin Beach and Golf Resort in Florida, MonteLago Village at Lake Las Vegas and Zihuatenejo Jalisco Resort in Mexico.

Earned a Bachelor of Laws ( LL. B.) in 1974 from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC and a Bachelor of Arts in 1969 from the University of Victoria, Victoria, BC.

A member of the Law Society of British Columbia; the Canadian Bar Association, active in the Real Property and Banking Subsections; and the Canadian Resort Developers Association.
